This week my photo of famous Dutch folksinger Corry Konings made the cover of Nieuwe Revu. This is my third cover for the magazine. I took the photo last week when journalist Ger Post and I followed her around Holland for a couple of days. This photo was taken before the recording of a TV show called Brabant Toppers, while she was having her make-up done. The make-up artist had just stepped aside, so I was able to get close to her for a brief moment. I took two photos. Corry looks quite content. Maybe because of all the renewed interest and attention lately…

Book release Triomf.

Tomorrow is my book presentation of Triomf! The release party is at Gallery Vriend van Bavink in Amsterdam from 17:00-21:00.

In 2010 the crew of Triomf asked me to document them during the course of a year, to celebrate their 10-year anniversary. I followed them with my camera at most of their club nights and festival events and ended up with an incredible amount of photographs. This year they asked their favorite Dutch graphic designer Bas Koopmans to team up with me to create a book. It’s been a long journey and I’m very excited to present it tomorrow!

Popview Outdoor Exhibit.

From January 5th till the 29th three of my music photos are exhibited on prominent buildings in the center of Groningen. This is part of the Popview Outdoor Exhibition, which shows the work of upcoming music photographers around the Eurosonic/ Noorderslag Festival. This is the second year this exhibit has been organized together with Converse. A photo I took of the band De Wolff can be seen on the Aa-Church (size of 4 by 7 meter), and my photos of Soulwax and zZz are hanging in other locations in the city (size of 2 by 3 meters).
